Visiting this site

These pages are plain HTML files. To send them to you, the web server has to process your IP address and the usual request data (page, time, browser). That is necessary to run a website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Access logging is switched off in our hosting account, so we do not keep a record of visits.

The site is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany.

No cookies without your consent

Unless you allow analytics, this site stores nothing on your device and loads nothing from other servers: fonts, styles and images all come from this domain. Your answer to the analytics question is kept in your browser's local storage (smelly-mods-analytics), so we do not ask on every page. It is not sent anywhere.

Google Analytics (only with your consent)

If you click “Accept”, this site loads Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It records which pages you visit, for how long, which links you click (for example a download), what kind of device and browser you use and roughly where you are (country and city, worked out from your IP address; Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP address itself). We use this only to see which mods people read.

For this, Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_… on this subdomain. They are kept for 13 months. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. Google keeps the collected data for 2 months, then deletes it.

Google may process the data in the USA as well. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has decided that it ensures an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR). Google processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with “Analytics settings” at the bottom of every page; the Google Analytics cookies are then deleted. Withdrawing does not affect what was recorded before.

Contact form and email

If you write to us through the contact form, your browser sends your name (if you give one), your email address and your message to a small script on this server. The script passes them on as an email to our mailbox, which is also hosted by ALL-INKL.COM, and stores nothing of what you wrote. The same goes for an email you send us directly. We use your message only to answer you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it is about something you want from us) and delete it once your question is settled, unless the law requires us to keep it.

So the form cannot be used to flood us with spam, the script keeps a keyed hash of your IP address (not the address itself) with the time of each message. It uses it only to allow at most five messages an hour from one connection, and deletes it once it is more than an hour old, the next time someone uses the form.

Downloads and links to other sites

Downloads and source code are hosted on GitHub. When you click a download or a link to another site (GitHub, the tip page, mod sites), your browser connects to that site and its own privacy policy applies. Nothing is sent there before you click.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Analytics data sits with Google under a random id, not your name, so we usually cannot find a single visitor in it, but you are welcome to ask through the contact in the Impressum.
